MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- An alleged gang member who has been wanted since 2012 on attempted murder and weapons charges was caught by the Memphis Safe Task Force, U.S. Marshals said Tuesday morning.
Diego Armando Redonda Mendiola, 32, is facing multiple felony charges that include: attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm with the intent to commit a felony, two charges for reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and being in the United States illegally.
According to the task force, Mendiola is a member of the gang, "Surenos 13."
Authorities say they deported him to his home country of Mexico.
