ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester City Council has approved a $100,000 allocation from the city's Contingency Fund to support Channel One Regional Food Bank.
This funding aims to ensure residents have access to essential food and infant formula, especially if there are changes to federal benefit programs.
City officials say they will collaborate with Channel One to finalize a service agreement. This will detail the distribution of funds, establish accountability measures, and identify coordination opportunities with other local partners.
The city says funds will be released as necessary in response to verified community impacts from federal program changes.
