Toms River, NJ – A bomb threat was reported early Tuesday morning at a Toms River polling site, prompting a swift law enforcement response that briefly disrupted voting just as polls were opening.
The threat was called in around 7 a.m. at the Cedar Grove polling location, causing a precautionary evacuation of the site. Police and K9 units from the Toms River Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department swept the building. The scene was cleared in approximately 20 minutes, and no explosives were found.
