Nagpur : After successfully rolling out Phase 1 and pushing ahead with the ongoing Phase 2 expansion, Nagpur Metro is now preparing for a giant technological leap, driverless operations in Phase 3.

The upcoming corridor, stretching from Sitabuldi to Koradi, will feature Unattended Train Operation (UTO), a Grade 4 automation system that eliminates the need for human drivers. The announcement marks a major milestone for MahaMetro, placing Nagpur among India’s few cities moving toward fully automated metro systems.
