CHICAGO (WLS) -- More fallout from the news that Congressman Chuy Garcia does not plan to run for re-election next year.

This is the fifth congressional vacancy in Illinois, as incumbents either retire or run for different offices. There's also a senate seat up for grabs.

In an unexpected turn of events, Representative Chuy Garcia will not seek re-election in the 2026 race, sources told ABC7.
