CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - KCRG-TV9 has been provided with doorbell video showing the moments a gun was fired while kids were trick-or-treating in Cedar Rapids on Halloween night.
Cedar Rapids Police say the shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. on October 31 in the 6600-block of 1st Avenue West, near West Willow Elementary School.
The video, provided by a TV9 viewer, shows an adult handing out candy to trick-or-treaters when the first gunshot is heard. Almost immediately, people can be heard yelling and can be seen running down the street. The video appears to show someone in the street holding a gun before more gunshots are fired.
Cedar Rapids Police say a woman was hurt during the shooting but did not need to go to the hospital.
