EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville woman is facing animal cruelty charges after police say three dogs were left for days at a time in a feces and urine filled home, with no access to food or water.
Officers say it’s not the first time the dogs had to be taken by animal control.
They say this investigation started in early October after tips came in about dogs being left at a home in the 2100 block of North Weinbach.
Police say they placed a trail came nearby to monitor the home themselves.
They say in a span of two days, no cars were seen stopping at the home.
At that time, the home still had power.
A few weeks later, police say they got more complaints, and now the home had no power.
Officers say when they went back to the home, they could see dogs trying to push their noises
