ALLEGAN COUNTY, Michigan — A man died after a T-bone crash in Allegan County on Monday, the Sheriff's Office says. A teen remains in critical condition.
Deputies say a 19-year-old Grand Rapids man was heading eastbound on 134th Avenue around 8:45 a.m. in Monterey Township.
The driver did not stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck traveling north on 30th Street, police say.
The 43-year-old Allegan man driving the pickup was sent to the hospital, where he later died. Investigators believe he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The other driver also suffered life-threatening injuries. He remains in the hospital in critical condition, deputies say. Investigators believe drugs and excessive speed may have been factors in the crash.
