INDIANAPOLIS — For the first time in Chris Ballard’s tenure as general manager, the Colts have taken a swing at the trade deadline.

Indianapolis is trading two first-round picks and receiver Adonai Mitchell to the Jets for cornerback Sauce Gardner, a league source confirmed to IndyStar on Tuesday, adding a two-time first-team All-Pro who signed a four-year, $120.4 million contract extension this offseason.
