After 14 years and 46 seasons, MTV is pulling the plug on one of its longest running comedy series.
The network is cancelling “Ridiculousness,” the comedy clip series hosted by Rob Dyrdek. While the show will continue to air reruns into 2026, no new episodes are being produced, Variety reported.
The cancellation comes as MTV, which is owned by Paramount, is shifting is strategy. The networking is moving toward “refreshed programming” that emphasizes its experimental roots and includes different voices, focusing on a “more curated slate of content,” a source familiar with the decision told the media outlet.
“Ridiculousness” was a major staple of the network, with more than 1,700 episodes and approximately 13 hours a week of MTV’s 168-hour lineup, Variety reported in 2020 .
