Jakobi Meyers wasn’t shy about expressing his desire for a fresh start. He’ll now get that in Jacksonville.
The wide receiver was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Jaguars on Tuesday ahead of the 4 p.m. NFL trade deadline , ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported .
The Raiders will receive fourth- and sixth-round picks.
Meyers requested a trade in the offseason but nothing came to fruition. Two weeks ago, he made it clear he still wanted to be moved as the deadline approached.
“Oh, for sure,” he replied when asked if he still wanted to be traded . “I’m a professional at the end of the day. I’m just trying to play good football. If I’m here, like I said, I’ll play good football. If I’m not here, I’ll go out there and play wherever I’m supposed to be.”
Meyers is in the final
