Union Home Minister Amit Shah said every political party must be taken seriously as he was asked about Prashant Kishor and his newly formed Jan Suraaj Party ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections . He, however, expressed strong confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would secure a decisive victory in the state.
In an interview with India Today TV, Shah said, "Every party and every person should be taken seriously during elections. There are 1,550 parties in India. A new party has been formed, which is the Jan Suraaj Party. And out of 151 parties, 22 parties are contesting the elections in Bihar. I want to say that over 160 seats will go to the NDA and the remaining seats will be divided among 22 other parties."
