A major honor for actress, comedian and daytime television host Sherri Shepherd. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday morning.

Shepherd said she fulfilled a childhood dream when her star was unveiled. The Nov. 3 ceremony marked the 30th anniversary of her entertainment career.

"I want to say thank you to my family, who put up with me, who came to see me at the comedy clubs," she said.

The host joked that her family would fly out to see her at the comedy clubs, but she'd "bomb" on the days they'd be in the audience, "but they stuck in there" and supported her by having people come to her shows.

Niecy Nash-Betts and Tyler Perry served as guest speakers during the ceremony, which was emcee'd by KOST 103.5 FM's Ellen K.
