Voters in cities around Macomb County headed to the polls Tuesday to decide on several issues including races for public office and a smattering of ballot questions ranging from municipal to school tax issues. One of the busier polling places in the county was Havel Elementary in Sterling Heights, which had a race for mayor and all council seats.

Clerks in county municipal offices reported light to moderate turnout by late morning. During the last city elections held in 2023, the county reported just under 19% of voters turned out.
