ORONO -- Maine football’s streak of success continues after picking up another big conference win on Saturday vs the Stony Brook Seawolves. The game required the Black Bears to play all 60 minutes, as the Seawolves fought hard in the second half and only came up one score short.
One of the most pivotal moments of the game for the Black Bears came in the third quarter, when freshman Daniel Batch caught a 14-yard touchdown that ultimately would be Maine’s last points.
“It was amazing, I feel blessed by God," said Batch. "Just having all my teammates, looking at the sideline and seeing how happy they were. Through the whole journey they’ve been by my side just cheering me on, it made it even better.”
