Tom Brady has a new puppy, and if it looks familiar, there’s a reason.
The 48-year-old former NFL football player confirmed that he cloned his dog Lua , who died nearly two years ago , producing his new dog Junie .
Tom said he did so in partnership with the biotech company Colossal Biosciences.
“I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family. A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family’s elderly dog before she passed,” he said in a press release of the dog that he shared with ex Gisele Bundchen , via People .
He called it “a second chance with a clone of our beloved dog.”
