Investigation into online threat directed toward Melrose-Mindoro School found no threat

JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - An investigation into an online threat directed towards Melrose-Mindoro School found no threat.

According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, at about 6:38 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2025, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an online threat in which the apparent target was the Melrose-Mindoro School.

According to the press release, investigation showed the online threat was made by a juvenile in Juneau County, who had recently made other threats towards the Melrose-Mindoro School.

The press release says the investigation also showed that the juvenile did not have any means to access the school at the time of the most recent threats.
