Bengaluru is taking a new step to tackle the long-standing problem of littering in the city.

If you happen to spot someone littering waste on the streets of Bengaluru and feel frustrated but don't know how to stop them, the city now has a solution, and the authorities will now reward you for it.

Under this initiative, residents can now earn ₹ 250 by capturing videos of people dumping garbage in public spaces.

Here's how

All you need to do is just record a video and send it to the authorities of the Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd. (BSWML).

Once your submission is verified by the officials, you will receive the reward. This initiative was launched by Bengaluru to reduce littering in public areas.

There will be social media handles and a dedicated WhatsApp number. According to BSW
