Ryan Poles found his team some much-needed help at defensive end.

The Chicago Bears traded for Cleveland Browns defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka ahead of the 3 p.m. trade deadline Tuesday, according to multiple national reports.

The Bears are sending a sixth-round draft pick to the Browns in exchange for Tryon-Shoyinka and a seventh-round pick. The pick swap still leaves the Bears with seven draft picks in 2026, including two seventh-round picks.

The move comes two days after the Bears lost defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo to a season-ending Achilles injury. Tryon-Shoyinka, a 2021 first-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has 15 career sacks in 74 appearances. He started 45 games over four seasons with the Bucs.
