Grammy-winning neo-soul pioneer D’Angelo was laid to rest Saturday at Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Henrico, Virginia, where music legend Stevie Wonder performed in tribute to the influential artist, according to PEOPLE .

The funeral came just over two weeks after D’Angelo’s death from pancreatic cancer on Oct. 14. He was 51.
