NORWICH, CT (WFSB) - It’s a three-way race for Norwich’s mayoral seat.
Democrat Singh Swarnjit, Republican Stacy Gould, and Petitioning Candidate is Marcia K. Wilbur are on the ballot.
Swarnjit described himself as a businessman, community leader, and family man.
His family fled the 1984 Sikh Genocide and arrived in the U.S. in 2007. He said he became the embodiment of the “American Dream” through hard work and determination.
Gould said she wants to continue work on projects in the city, specifically revitalizing vacant store fronts.
Wilbur, meanwhile, called herself a privacy and free speech advocate, along with a Connecticut manufacturing ambassador.
Polls close at 8 p.m.
