A child riding a bike in a Massachusetts crosswalk was struck by a school bus Tuesday morning, and the driver was arrested in a subsequent altercation, according to police.

Medway Police responded to a report of a struck child in the area of the Francis J. Burke Memorial Elementary School around 8 a.m.

Officers discovered that the bus was traveling at a low speed on Cassidy Lane when the bus collided with the bike, causing one of the bike tires to go underneath one of the bus’s front tires, police say.

The child did not sustain any serious injuries and did not require further treatment after an evaluation by emergency personnel, police say.
