A busy Greater Manchester junction is suffering "major disruption" this week after a gas leak was identified, needing urgent repair.

The affected area is where Kingsway ( A34 ) meets Gatley Road (A5660) in Cheadle , Stockport , which is already a busy junction, particularly during peak times.

From 8pm on Monday evening (November 3), two lanes of the southbound A34 carriageway will be closed at the Gatley Road junction so that the necessary repairs can be completed.

One lane will remain open, allowing vehicles to go straight ahead or turn left, but no right turns will be possible.
