CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — An investigation is underway after a deceased individual was found murdered during a welfare check.
On November 3, 2025, Cumberland County 911 received a call requesting a welfare check be conducted on Linda Spivey, age 76, residing at 7119 Big Horn Drive.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the residence at approximately 9:07 p.m.
Lake Tansi Police were dispatched to the residence and found Ms. Spivey deceased.
A primary suspect, Kenneth Spivey, age 59, of Wala Wala Trail, became the focus of the investigation, in which it was believed that he had committed the murder of Linda Spivey.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
