Alleged getaway driver pleads in Baylock slaying

An alleged getaway driver faces up to six years in prison in connection with Jacquice Baylock’s July 2020 shooting death in Gary.

Dwain “Glizzo” Cunigan, a.k.a. Dwain Johnson, 22, pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal.

His sentencing hearing is Jan. 27. A judge would have to review and accept the agreement.

Cunigan is serving a 30-year sentence in Illinois in an unrelated case as an accomplice in retired Chicago firefighter Dwain Williams’ December 2020 death during a failed carjacking, prison records and media reports show.
