The Alabama high school flag football playoffs are underway and scores are rolling in from across the AHSAA.

This is the second year that the AHSAA has made flag football a sanctioned sport. Central-Phenix City and Montgomery Catholic are looking to defend their state titles from a season ago. In the National USA TODAY Sports Super 25 rankings , Central-Phenix City is ranked number five, followed by Vestavia Hills at seven. Moody sneaks in at 24, with Daphne on the watchlist.

The playoffs will have one round per week, leading up to the AHSAA Super 7 Championships at Protective Stadium. The games will be on Dec. 3 with Class 1-5A at 11 a.m. and Class 6-7A at 3 p.m.
