NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office accused a couple in connection with an elderly woman.

Kevin Carl Clark, 40, and Victoria Lynn Delaune, 33, are charged with neglect resulting in death.

Deputies responded to a call for service regarding the woman, Dianne Clark, Kevin Clark’s mother, who was found unresponsive on July 29. Paramedics already pronounced her dead at the scene. She was found to be in ‘highly unsanitary conditions’, wearing a soiled adult diaper and having bed sores that were actively infested with maggots. Her living space also appeared to be infested with insects and deeply soiled with fecal matter, blood stains and other bodily fluids.
