For the first time this season, Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube has a full complement of forwards.
Both Scott Laughton and Steven Lorentz are expected to be in the lineup when the Leafs play host to the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena.
The two might have been the Leafs’ best forward pair in the pre-season before Laughton suffered a lower-body injury on Oct. 2 against the Detroit Red Wings.
Laughton has been out since getting hurt, while Lorentz looks to return after he suffered an upper-body injury last Wednesday against Columbus .
With the way that the Leafs have been playing , the two should give the group a shot in the arm. Don’t be fooled by the Leafs’ 7-5-1 record, nor the fact the club has won four of its past five games. Consistency has been elusive, at best.
