With a new conductor preparing to make his debut, Sarasota Orchestra is hitting a high note offstage as well — unveiling new designs this week for its long-awaited Music Center and celebrating two major gifts totaling $70 million.
The 32-acre campus set to be constructed on Fruitville Road will feature Sarasota’s first purpose-built concert hall for acoustic music and an expanded education center dedicated to youth and community programs.
