Community Foundation Grey Bruce reached a milestone for giving this year.

Excluding the pandemic years, when federal support flowed through the charitable group, 2025 marked the first time it’s given more than $1 million of its own earnings.

The community foundation has about $24 million in assets under management and more than 200 endowment funds. It has granted more than $9.5 million since it started in 1994, using earnings from those donated funds.

The foundation recently announced the recipients of its latest disbursements. More than $171,000 in community grants and more than $149,000 in capital grants were awarded in this round. The foundation’s website lists them all.
