The Lest We Forget Crosswalk at the intersection of Cannifton Road and Bell Boulevard has been rejuvenated by municipal city workers ahead of Remembrance Day.
Fresh new coats of paint have re-topped the memorial walk to repair damage from exposure to the elements of Canadian weather.

The walk was installed in November of last year adjacent the Veterans Monument at the Cannifton and Bell Boulevard intersection to ensure veterans are not forgotten.
“The crosswalk, monument and bridge continue to honour those who have served and are a reminder of the sacrifices made in the fight for our freedom,” the city said in a statement.
The red-and-white striped crosswalk symbolizes poppies of Flanders Fields and features at each end silhouettes of a soldier carrying arms.
