PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — New video surveillance shows the moments leading up to clashes between federal agents and protesters outside Portland's Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in recent months.
The Oregon Department of Justice submitted the videos as evidence in its case to stop the deployment of federal troops to Portland. The videos accompanied testimony from Portland police that federal officers used unwarranted excessive force.
As first reported by the Oregonian, Portland police Cmdr. Franz Schoening testified, "The types and amounts of force being used by federal law enforcement is disproportionate."
