Another Mummy movie is in the works and it will likely feature an epic reunion between Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz !

The news comes from Deadline and the outlet says they’re hearing these reports from several different sources. It seems likely that, if the deal is finalized, Brendan and Rachel will reprise their roles as Rick O’Connell and Evelyn Carnahan.

Radio Silence duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett —known for Ready or Not and Scream —will direct a script written by David Coggeshall .

Universal Pictures hasn’t confirmed anything and the plot details are being kept secret. The original 1999 film is a beloved action-adventure classic that went on to spawn a franchise.
