Jennifer Lawrence didn’t walk the red carpet at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards , but she made a surprise appearance inside the event to honor her friend Sara Moonves .

The 35-year-old actress presented the Media Award to Sara at the event on Monday night (November 3) at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

Sara is the editor-in-chief of W Magazine and also the daughter of former CBS boss Les Moonves .

“[She] dresses like Coco Chanel, but she has the work ethic of Genghis Khan,” Jennifer said on stage.
