GRETNA, Fla. (WFLA) — A suspect has turned himself in after opening fire on a crowd at a memorial service over the weekend, killing one person and injuring three others, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
Dedario Jermartinez Hunter, 40, of Gretna, surrendered himself at the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office on Monday, Nov. 3, according to officials.
Investigators said Hunter showed up to the Nov. 1 memorial service in Gretna armed with a semi-automatic weapon. He then began shooting into the large crowd, which had been mourning a person killed in a homicide two weeks before, according to the FDLE.
