SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The holidays are just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than to step into the magical world of "Wicked" and the Wizard of Oz right here in San Diego County.

Visitors looking for the yellow brick road can head to the Hotel del Coronado and experience the new "Tinsel Trail to Oz."

Starting Nov. 21, the Hotel Del will be transformed into a holiday-themed experience where people can meet the iconic characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the book authored by L. Frank Baum.

The book inspired the beloved Broadway musical "Wicked" and its star-studded movie adaptation starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, plus its upcoming sequel "Wicked: For Good," which is set to debut in theaters on the same day as the Hotel Del's celebration.
