There’s a full moon on Wednesday, November 5, and it’s a big one. It’s the Hunter’s Moon, the Beaver Moon, and the second of 2025’s three consecutive supermoons—the closest of them all.

It’ll swing by at a mere 221,817 miles ( 356,980 kilometers ) away from Earth. By comparison, April’s full moon was 252,280 miles ( 406,006 kilometers ) away—the farthest of the year. That’s a difference of more than 30,000 miles, a variance due to the moon’s elliptical orbit.
