LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Brooks Houck has been moved to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in eastern Kentucky.
Houck was transferred Monday from the Oldham County Detention Center.
Houck, who was Crystal Rogers' boyfriend at the time of her July 2015 disappearance, was found guilty of murder-principal or accomplice and tampering with physical evidence in July after a 10-day trial . He was then sentenced to life in prison for Rogers' death in September, plus five years for tampering with evidence.
Last month, Houck filed an appeal with the Kentucky Supreme Court.
Rogers was first reported missing on July 5, 2015, by her mother, Sherry Ballard. She hadn’t been seen since the night of July 3, 2015. Her car was found abandoned with a flat tire on the Bluegrass Parkway
