LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Tuesday, the Rotary Club of Little Rock presented a large donation to the Arkansas Foodbank.
A $20,000 donation to the foodbank was presented during the Rotary's weekly meeting with the goal of helping to support Arkansans who have been facing food insecurity following the halt of the federal SNAP benefits.
Arkansas Foodbank Chief Development Officer Emily Piechocki was in attendance and accepted the check from Rotary Club of Little Rock President Mitch Bettis while at the Clinton Presidential Center.
“We’re incredibly grateful for this generous donation from the Rotary Club of Little Rock,” Piechocki said. “As food costs rise and the demand for assistance increases, partnerships like this help us ensure that no Arkansan goes hungry.”
