MIDLAND, MI - Out of every city in the entire country, Midland has just been named the top place to retire in 2026 .

The ranking has just come out from U.S. News and World Report which says it analyzed data of more than 850 top cities in the U.S., looking at how well they meet the retirement needs and expectations of Americans.

The ranking narrowed things down to a top 250 list with Midland besting it . 10 other Michigan cities are also ranked in the top 100.

Rankings are based on the overall retirement scores which are the weighted average of six indexes: Quality of Life, Value, Health Care Quality, Senior Population/Migration, Taxes, and Job Market.
