NEWARK — ChristianaCare is planning a new freestanding acute inpatient rehabilitation facility in Newark through a joint venture with The Onix Group.
According to a notice of intent filed this month with the Delaware Health Resources Board, the partnership intends to develop a 92,000-square-foot, three-story facility will include 73 private inpatient rooms, two rehabilitation gyms, space for hemodialysis and traumatic brain injury treatment and outdoor rehabilitation areas.
The project is expected to cost between $62.8 million and $72.2 million with construction slated for completion in 2027 pending state approval.
