Netflix’s Ransom Canyon is getting a new addition to its tangled web of family feuds and frontier romance. Steve Howey — best known for Shameless and ABC’s hit procedural High Potential — has joined the cast of the streaming drama’s second season as Levi, the half-brother of Staten Kirkland ( Josh Duhamel ).

Production on Season 2 is currently underway at Netflix Studios in Albuquerque, and Levi sounds like he’ll bring a new kind of energy, being described as a “mountain man” who lives off the land.
