Within the federal budget tabled on Tuesday , Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government said it will propose amendments to the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations Act to change arbitration for public servants. Article content

In a section on “collective bargaining in good faith” the budget pointed to changing the act to “ensure the government can attract and retain the necessary talent for a high-performing public service to meet the needs of Canadians, while respecting Canada’s fiscal circumstances relative to its stated budgetary policies and objectives.” Article content Article content
