A decade on from his last goal for Stoke City, Steven Nzonzi finally found the net for the club on Tuesday night.

Nzonzi, who made 109 Premier League appearances for the Potters between 2012 and 2015, returned to the club in the summer.

The French World Cup winner began training with his former side from July and went on to sign a one-year deal a month later.

He signed for Stoke on a free, most recently playing for Iranian side Sepahan after a spell in Turkey.

Since re-joining the club, Nzonzi has made six appearances and two starts in the Championship , with his second coming this week.

And his start against Oxford United brought him a moment that he has had to wait over a decade for to celebrate.
