WILMINGTON — The Court of Chancery has denied a motion to delay the issuance of New Castle County school tax bills, a request of property association groups dissatisfied with the court’s recent ruling to uphold split tax rates in the county.
Vice Chancellor Lori Will was, once again, the voice of denial. However, the Delaware State Senate is set to return on Thursday to consider a new bill that would extend the tax bill deadline until the end of the year.
An official appeal has yet to be filed with the Delaware Supreme Court as of press time. Tax bills are expected to be issued in the coming days with payment due by Nov. 30.
