NEW YORK (PIX11) -- From staffing shortages to inclement weather, there seems to be no end in sight for delays at major New York City area airports.
On Election Day, delays continued, as the FAA reported ground delays at Newark International Airport and LaGuardia Airport.
Advisories on the FAA's website indicate that the ground delays are due to wind.
EWR is seeing an average delay of 54 minutes, according to the FAA. The advisory remains in effect until 10:59 p.m.
LGA is seeing an average delay of 75 minutes, according to the FAA. The advisory remains in effect until 11:29 p.m.
No ground delays are being reported at John F. Kennedy Airport.
High winds could impact travel on Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Travelers are encouraged to contact their airlines for updates.
