The Pittsburgh Steelers will not be acquiring New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed , who is being traded to the Seattle Seahawks for fourth-and-fifth round picks, according to multiple reports.
Shaheed, who has grown from a return man into a promising deep threat, will now join Jaxon Smith-Njigba and a talented Seahawks wide receiver room that will allow him to flourish as a deep threat.
Just like Jakobi Meyers , who is heading to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shaheed is on an expiring contract and will be a free agent in the offseason.
Shaheed, 27, has 499 receiving yards on 44 receptions this season despite the rocky quarterback play with the Saints. That has put him on many radars in the NFL as an underrated player, and the Seahawks cash in on him.
