ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Attleboro Fire Department said an elderly woman was taken to the hospital after driving into a CVS on Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to the CVS on Washington Street around 1:50 p.m. to discover a car had struck the building and “caused significant structural damage.”
At the scene, firefighters began treating the elderly driver who suffered minor injuries.
The woman was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Officials said the store was open and occupied at the time of the crash, but no bystanders or employees were hurt.
According to the department, the car had breached the wall of the building.
The CVS was temporarily closed for repairs and further inspection.
