Rockstar's second most noticeable development trend, right behind the inter-game gaps growing ever larger, has to be its push toward realism. Red Dead Redemption 2 was full of survival mechanics, including weapon maintenance and temperature-reactive horse balls, leading many to speculate (with appropriate horror) about what similar measures might be taken in Grand Theft Auto 6.
One man is ahead of the pack, though: Blurbs, the modder who recently gave your Red Dead Redemption 2 victims happy memories and forced you to watch them. He's back again, this time giving Rockstar ideas by allowing the GTA NPCs you hurt to take you to court afterwards. There's nothing that kills the momentum of a Los Santos rampage like being dragged through lengthy legal proceedings, but hey, it is more realistic
