BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC) - CNH finalized plans to close its Burlington facility Tuesday, which will impact 200 workers officials said.

The company said it had tentative plans to close the facility in November 2024.

The closure is because of decreasing demand and underutilization, according to a media release.

Officials said the company will negotiate separation packages with the United Auto Workers and plans to include severance pay, continued health insurance, job training and replacement assistance.

Production at the Burlington facility will pause for the rest of the week, officials said, so employees can process the news. Employees will be paid for the time off.

The company also plans to keep engineering teams and a proving ground in Burlington, according to the release.
